🌻 🌻 🌻 With great respect, ZPF is pleased to share with Dharma friends the information, images, and videos documenting the Knowledge Competition and Dharma Assembly entitled “Debate on Buddhist Logic (Pramāṇa) – Clouds of Offerings that Delight Jamgön Mipham”, which was solemnly held at Lung Ngon Monastery. ❤️❤️❤️
1. The Knowledge Competition was initiated by the Advanced Institute of Dharma and Knowledge with the aim of enhancing comprehensive understanding among monastic students, especially in foundational disciplines and traditional knowledge systems. Since its first convening in 2012, the competition has been held for twelve consecutive editions, progressively establishing itself as an important academic forum that fosters the spirit of study, debate, and creative composition among the younger generation of students. 🌻
Throughout its formation and development, under the guidance of learned instructors and with the participation of numerous monastic and nunnery institutes as well as respected masters, the competition has encompassed a wide range of fields, including grammar, logic, poetics, history, and culture. In this way, it not only seeks to preserve the legacy of intellectual heritage and safeguard scholarly traditions, but also to broaden the research horizons of learners. 🌻
At the twelfth edition of the competition, presided over by Pha Norbu, young monks engaged together in discussions on contemporary and academic issues such as the decline of language usage, the creation of new terminology, and modern academic research methodologies, integrating these themes with formats of debate and extended question-and-answer sessions. 🌻

2. The Dharma Assembly entitled “Debate on Buddhist Logic (Pramāṇa) – Clouds of Offerings that Delight Jamgön Mipham” has been organized by the Advanced Buddhist Institute of Ngagyur Lungngön Monastery since 2018 and has been held annually, with the ongoing aim of continuously enhancing the quality of study and practice of monks and nuns.
Since 2021, the assembly has established and refined a comprehensive assessment system based on three core dimensions—teaching, debate, and composition—grounded in the Pramāṇa treatise Lekshé Nangter by Jamgön Mipham.
This year, the assembly was held over three days under the guidance of the Khenpos and respected spiritual mentors, with the participation of twenty-five students. It concluded successfully with prayer ceremonies dedicated to the flourishing of the Nyingma teachings and with aspirations for the Guru’s swift rebirth.
