The Tenth Grand Offering Assembly of One Hundred Thousand Rig Jema

The Grand Offering Assembly of One Hundred Thousand Rig Jema was formally established in 2016 by the Vidyādhara Supreme Master, H.H. Hungkar Dorje Rinpoche. The purpose of this great assembly is to conduct extensive prayer rituals for the enduring presence of the Buddhadharma in general, and, in particular, for all holders of the Dharma regardless of lineage or tradition. It also places special emphasis on praying for the masters, the Sangha, and the devoted lay practitioners of the monastery itself.

Accordingly, from the 1st to the 5th day of the 10th month of the Tibetan calendar that year, under the direct guidance of Vidyādhara Hungkar Dorje Rinpoche, together with the monks of Lung Ngön Monastery and a large gathering of faithful lay practitioners, the Dharma assembly was brought to complete and perfect fulfillment.

Through the faith and pure vows of the devoted lay community, the profound Dharma treasures of the great master Rongzom Chökyi Zangpo were once again transmitted. At the same time, they were revealed as Yang Ter (Rediscovered Treasures) through Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo—Padma Ösel Do-ngak Lingpa, the master who held seven lines of transmission.

These supreme teachings include: “The Practice and Accomplishment Sādhana of the Lotus Ḍākinī—The Dynamic Power of Primordial Awareness: The Melody of Joyous Great Bliss,” together with “The Condensed Offering Ritual of the Goddess Kurukullā—The Wish-Fulfilling Key,” both composed by Vidyādhara Hungkar Dorje Rinpoche himself. At present, practitioners are devoting themselves wholeheartedly to the practice and accomplishment of these two profound Dharma paths.

Since that time, the Grand Offering Assembly of One Hundred Thousand Rig Jema has become an annual Dharma event of the Ancient Secret Mantra Lung Ngön Monastery and has been held continuously every year without interruption. This year is no exception. Under the guidance of the reincarnate Khenpo Tsangyang Gyatso, beginning on the 12th day of the 10th month of the Tibetan calendar and continuing for two days, the monks of Lung Ngön Monastery, together with devoted lay practitioners, once again gathered with single-pointed focus and sincere dedication to practice the Rig Jema sādhanā.
