The Blue Cuckoo
Hungkar Dorje
The blue cuckoo,
Came from Mon area of the South1
Two of us,
Came directly from America of the North,
Met here, yesterday.
Oh, the holy cuckoo bird, my dear brother,
The bird that Tibetans love,
Please take a rest from your fatigue,
Then, please sing with your sweat voice
And make the black headed people2 happy.
