The Blue Cuckoo

The blue cuckoo,

Came from Mon area of the South¹

Two of us,

Came directly from America of the North,

Met here, yesterday.

Oh, the holy cuckoo bird, my dear brother,

The bird that Tibetans love,

Please take a rest from your fatigue,

Then, please sing with your sweat voice

And make the black headed people² happy.
