Without understanding what is real Dharma, people often mix real Dharma with worldly dharmas

As I said earlier we need to understand what is real Dharma and what is not Dharma. Dharma is something beyond worldly dharmas. Worldly dharmas is not the real Dharma.

To meditate on what we have learned, [on] the essence of the teachings given by the Buddha Shakyamuni

Of course, as Dharma persons, it is important to study, to think and to meditate on all of these things. Only studying, only hearing is not enough, we have to use our own knowledge, our own wisdom to try to get the essence of that meaning [of teachings].

“Dharma politics” can destroy people’s devotion to Buddhist Dharma and destroy Buddha’s Dharma

Buddha Shakyamuni said Buddhist teaching is destroyed by the Dharma people. There’re are outer and inner Dharma people. The inner people are very close to the Buddha, to the Dharma; Those people are monks and nuns. And there are many other [kind of] Dharma practitioners.

Buddha has many ways to liberate sentient beings, whatever benefits sentient beings Buddha definitely does

Therefore, for us it is not smart to say that Buddha taught only Hiayana, or Buddha did not teach Vajrayana teachings. Because we do not know actually.

The Dharma will be destroyed by it’s own people, no external implements can really destroy Dharma

Good leadership or good education make a big difference for the understanding and conduct of people. For that reason, it’s our responsibility to educate and to teach people to have greater understanding, better conduct and more honesty. (Honesty is real gold, real diamonds, real jewels.)

Sometimes we need to be careful not to be too smart

Right now, we too busy to think carefully. We don’t have time to think this is good or not, intelligence is important or faith is important.

When you are not faithful and you are smart enough, you create troubles and problems

People usually don’t sit much. If they sit because they are tired, that is it. I don’t think they are aware or practice their awareness. So, what is lacking of Dharma practitioner is sitting.

Not smartness, not intelligence, not wisdom, but genuine devotion

As a Buddhist practitioner, especially Varjayana practitioner, and even more specially a practitioner of Dzogchen, the most important [thing] is devotion. Not smartness, not intelligence, not wisdom, but genuine devotion.

Without good knowledge we do not know how to practice to achieve good progress

This time I also mentioned the important points to practice Dharma well. And those necessary conditions to practice Dharma well and for one to accomplish good result on the Path from your practice always are: faith, sincere devotion, is the most important. And then diligence, and knowledge.

Dharma is not just a toy to play with, it’s not just a position from which to show your power, it’s not a joke with which to tease people

Anyone who wants to be a dharma follower, must understand they are responsible for their future lives. Dharma is not just a toy to play with, it’s not just a position from which to show your power, it’s not a joke with which to tease people.

It is good enough for dharma followers to not jump into a connection for the wrong personal reason, but to follow a teacher for the purpose of dharma. It is good enough to follow the dharma teacher not because of dharma politics

Vairocana said something like, “Nobody may be satisfied, but it is good enough to do things that don’t upset the Buddha.” It is good enough to not cheat those who believe or trust in you.
